Boat cruise in queen elizabeth national park : Queen Elizabeth National Park is located in the western part of Uganda extending to kasese and Rukungiri district. The park is approximately 400km by road from Kampala to kasese making it a 6-7hours drive. Queen Elizabeth National park was known as kazinga channel park and later on it was named Queen Elizabeth National Park after the honour visit of Queen Elizabeth of England and King George VI in 1939. The park is famous for the tree climbing lions, 10 primate species e.g. chimpanzees ,618 bird species foreaxmple and 95 mammals like hippopotamus, leopards, African buffaloes and elephants e.tc.

Queen Elizabeth National Park has an activity that is done known as BOAT CRUISE which takes place along Kazinga channel. It’s a water channel that connects Lake George and Lake Edward where by it is 40km long stream located beneath the Mweya peninsular near Mweya safari lodge.

As we continue we are able to see the Nile crocodiles since they are also many and we also able to spot grazing African buffaloes , Elephants and a times a lion taking water on the banks.
A boat cruise along kazinga channel costs ,30USD for the foreign non residents per person,25 USD per person for foreign residents and 30000 ug shilling’s for East African citizens. The boat ride gives a wonderful view of the fishing villages in the southern bank and mountains in the DRC .
