3 Days Uganda Mountain gorilla trekking safari : Trekking Mountain gorillas is one of the most exciting safari activities on the African continent drawing a fair share of travelers. The trekkers get more personal with real African jungles and nature more than many ways for it is not merely gazing at giant apes but negotiating jaw opening valleys, descending steep escarpments in thick mist covered forests. This travel itinerary is specially designed for travelers seeking thrill of conquering the impenetrable Bwindi jungles but with limited time at their disposal.
Day 1: Pick up from Entebbe
Our safari guide will pick you from an agreed point and begin an 8 hour transfer to Bwindi; extreme south west of Uganda on an exciting journey of discovery. You will have a brief stop at Equator line crossing area and get photo opportunities and buy souvenir items and again in Mbarara town for lunch. You will reach Bwindi; a hilly terrain with thick forests early afternoon, check in at your hotel and get great experiences of Uganda safari.
Day 2: Gorilla trekking
Rise up early morning and feel chilling breezes from the thick forests, take a hot cup of coffee and make final preparations to head to ranger guides’ tourism office. You will complete all pre gorilla trekking formalities and proceed into the jungles and interact with nature at close quarters. You will spend approximately an hour with the gorillas for scientific reasons before descending the steep escarpments to the base camp and then onto your hotel for lunch. You will have an afternoon community guided walk and interact with the awesome people who have grown up with the mountain gorillas to get Ugandan rural setting experiences.
Day 3: Kampala return and Departure.
You will take a hot cup of coffee very early morning bearing in mind the time for your departure flight and with packed breakfast check out of hotel. You will have a brief stop at Equator line crossing point for lunch and walk from south to northern hemisphere. You will reach Kampala in afternoon and safari guide will drop you in Entebbe in time for your departure flight.
