3 Day Mountain Nyiragongo Hiking.
This awesome 3 days nyiragongo hiking tour starts from the Kigali as you are picked up from the Kigali international airport, driven into Gisenyi crossing into Congo from the Goma boarder.
The Nyiragongo Mountain is among the world’s greatest wonders derived from being an active volcano, its located in eastern Congo.
Day 1 pick from Kigali
Upon the arrival to Kigali you will be picked guide and driven around for a brief Kigali city tour visiting Gisozi genocide memorial and move to the kimirinko laical market for local organic fruits and crats. After lunch, drive to Gisenyi – Lake Kivu, have a boat ride upon arrival and later retire to your place of accommodation for dinner and overnight stay. Day 2 Move to Congo for mountain Nyiragongo hike.
Early in the morning after a hot cup of coffee, transfer with the guide to the Rwanda– Congo border at Goma, then move to kibatsi village where Nyiragongo beginning point is situated. Get briefed on the procedures of the hiking activity by the staff, Start the hike to the peak/summit of Nyiragongo. It could take you about four to six hours to complete the hike to the summit. This is also attributed to factors like the general fitness of the team or an individual respectively. You will have dinners and an overnight stay at the camp.
Day 3 descend from the Nyiragongo and transfers to Kigali.
Early in the morning after breakfast begin to descend of the volcano. You guide will drive to Goma crossing the Congo Rwanda boarder. Later you will proceed mid-day to a timely flights schedule.
