7 Days rwanda primates safaris

Day 1: airport pick and transfer to Ruhengeri district.

Upon your arrival, our company representative/ guide will pick you from the airport and have a scenic drive to Ruhengeri district home to the volcanoes national park. Check in at your lodge for dinner an overnight stay.

Day 2: gorilla trekking and ibylwacu cultural village.

Early in the morning after breakfast  you will head to the park headquarters, get briefed as you have a cup of coffee coupled with entertainment of the locals  cultural performance, be told about the dos and don’ts while in the tracking exercise. Later be assigned a guide and move to the forest in search for the gorillas. The time taken to locate a specific gorilla family you have been assigned to track runs from 1- 6 hours. Once catch  sight of the gorillas, you excitement will fill you and you, take as many photos as you can with them bearing in mind that you are allowed to soend amaximum of of one hour with the gorillas. Later head back to you lodge for lunch.

After, you will go to ibylwacu cultural center and have the experience of the Rwanda culture on mode of dance, preparation of certain local dishes, building techniques, making of local crafts and many more. Later head back to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3:  hiking dian foessy.

Wake to another safari experience and hike dian foessy to visit karisoke research center get to know the grave of the re-known American researcher Diana fossey was  buried. Later after the hike transfer to lake kivu for a relaxation at the beach .Overnight stay will be at:  Lake Kivu Serena (Luxury)/Paradise Malahide/Water Front Resort ((mid-range)

Day 4: Transfer to Nyungwe Forest or Kibale Forest National Park (Uganda).

After your breakfast, you will then drive to southern Rwanda to Nyungwe forest national park. On the other hand cross to Uganda’s Kibale forest national  – the most eminent primates stop in Africa, with more than 13 primates species in one forest .
