14  Days Camping Safaris in Uganda: A Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Transfer from the airport to the campground.

Having arrived at Entebbe international airport in the evening you will meet and great  your safari guide that will then brief you about how your safari will run and then be driven to where you are supposed the night. Once there, you’ll clean up, have dinner, and spend the night camping.

Day 2: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park

After breakfast, your safari guide will pick you up and drive you to Murchison Falls National Park. On the way, you’ll stop at the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary to see the 15 white rhinos that live there before continuing on to Masindi for lunch and some stretching. Once you get to the park, check in, set up your tent, and then have dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3: Nile launch cruise, game drive, and climb to the top of the falls

After eating your breakfast, you’ll rise early enough to go on a wildlife drive to observe the early birds as they emerge, including giraffes, elephants, Uganda Kobs, buffaloes, waterbucks, vervet monkeys, Olive Baboons, Patas monkeys, Jackson’s Hartebeest, and lions. After the three hours of wild game viewing, you will return for lunch. After lunch, you will board a boat journey that will last for around two hours and allow you the chance to have a closer look at the aquatic fauna. After leaving the boat, you’ll trek to the top of the.

Day 4:  Drive to fort portal

After breakfast, you will travel to Fort Portal, where you will stop for lunch before continuing on through the countryside to your destination. In the evening, for dinner and the night, at Fort Portal

Day 5: Bigodi wetland walk and chimpanzee trekking

After waking up to a delicious breakfast treat, head to the park headquarters for a briefing before beginning your search for chimpanzees. While in the forest, you’ll be in the company of park rangers, and once you find the chimps, you’ll have an hour to watch them feed and relax while taking as many photos as you like to preserve the incredible memory of the experience. After the adventure, return for lunch before going on a walk into the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, which is similarly fun and rewarding and offers fantastic wildlife viewing. After that, return home for dinner and a relaxing evening.

Day 6 : Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park.

You will drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park after an early-morning meal; the trip will take you around three hours and provide beautiful views of the Rwenzori Mountains. Have lunch on the way and stop at the craft village to see how they are made and, if you’re interested, make a purchase. Drive on over to Queen Elizabeth National Park, set up your tent, and unwind before going on an evening game drive to see more wildlife.

Day 7: A boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel and a game drive

After eating breakfast, you’ll drive to look for game in the wild. Along the way, you might see some of the big five, including lions, leopards, buffaloes, and elephants, as well as antelope species like water bucks, Kobs, and bushbucks, among others, jackals, and other wild game. Return for lunch at Mweya Lodge and a boat ride in the Kazinga Channel in the afternoon. where you can witness numerous bird species and aquatic creatures.  Day 8: Transfer  to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

Driving through the Ishasha area of Queen Elizabeth National Park will take you south of the park. Driving will take some time while you watch the lions during the day in the fig trees. Visit the local communities of Kanungu during a tour of a coffee plantation to learn more about the locals. You will arrive at Bwindi in the evening for rest, dinner, and overnight.

Day 9: Community Walk and Gorilla Trekking

Before going to the wilderness, eat breakfast and travel to the briefing location.

After receiving a briefing, you will set out on a journey to look for the endangered mountain gorillas. Depending on how they move, finding the huge gorillas may take 2 to 8 hours of trekking; the task is challenging but rewarding when you do. After spending an hour with the gorillas, you will return to the lodge to unwind. Go on a Batwa people excursion in the evening and then return for dinner and the night.

 Day 9: Community Walk and Gorilla Trekking

Before going to the wilderness, eat breakfast and travel to the briefing location.

After receiving a briefing, you will set out on a journey to look for the endangered mountain gorillas.  Day 10: Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi .

After breakfast, start on the transfer to Lake Bunyonyi going through the Kigezi Highlands while there you will take on a boat excursion to obtain amazing views of Lake Bunyonyi with its. On some of the Islands, you can also go for a walk to learn more about the history of the locals, their local schools, their customs for preparing cuisine, and their traditional performances. Following the activities, you will camp overnight before heading to the lodge for dinner.

Day 12: Tour of the Banyankole Community and a Morning Game Walk

After breakfast, embark on a breathtaking game walk to experience the interesting savannah ecosystem and the game that it supports while admiring the scenery and snapping photos. You will get the chance to see Rothschild giraffes, impala, Burchell’s zebra, topis, warthogs, waterbucks, bushbucks, and elands while taking part in the wildlife walk. After lunch, you’ll return to the lodge to unwind before heading to the Enyemebwa Cultural Center to explore the outside and inside of indigenous thatched houses and take in the views of the cattle kraal, agricultural gardens, and banana plantations. Before going to dinner and staying the night, you’ll take in a traditional show.

13th day: travel to Kampala

After a delectable breakfast, travel for about 4 hours to Kampala, stopping along the way to see the North and South Poles, which show how waves and water flow in different poles in different directions.

You will eat lunch at the Equator before continuing on to Kampala, where you will arrive in the afternoon and spend the night.

Day 14: City tour of Kampala

After waking up and eating breakfast, the safari guide will take you on a tour of Kampala, stopping at a few of its highlights along the way, such as the Namuggongo Martyrs Shrine, the Kabakas Palace, and the Kasubi Tombs, among others. After a late lunch, return to the hotel and travel to the airport to catch you flight back home.
