The 5 days Uganda gorilla and wildlife safari integrate two major aspects of Uganda safari ie gorilla trekking and Uganda wildlife experience. The trip takes you to famous Bwindi impenetrable forest national park the famous home to the great mountain gorillas and as well as queen Elizabeth national park “ a medley of wonders”. You experience is simply eccentric as you will get to have a substantive park of Uganda safari in the a short while of 5 days. The activities are gorilla trekking in Bwindi and wildlife watch at queen Elizabeth national park.
Brief Itinerary.
Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park.
Day 2: gorilla trekking and community walk.
Day 3: Transfer to queen Elizabeth via ishasha sector.
Day 4: Morning game drive in the park and afternoon boat cruise.
Day 5: transfer back to Kampala
Day 1: transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park.
Arise early in the morning , with the beautiful imagination of your travel to the jungles of Bwindi. You tour guide will further hype you up as he picks you from the location of your choice. Be briefed about your travel and later embaerk on a drive to Bwindi national park park , keeping in mind that your drive will take between 7 – 9 hours to get to Bwindi. You first stop after exiting the city will be at the equator at Kampala – masaka highway. While at the equator, you will be treated to a photo shoot done by any of you or the guide for memorabilia purposes. Later depart the equator and proceed to Bwindi through masaka to Mbarara. You could have a brief in Mbarara for lunch and another relaxation.
Proceed to Bwindi though Mabrara Kabale highway, with the view of the lush countryside seeing the green hills and Kigezi. Arrive at your accommodation, have diner and overnight stay.
Day 2 : gorilla trekking and afternoon community walk .
Early in the morning after breakfast, you will be picked by your tour guide and you will transfer to the park headquarters for briefing. You will be treated to a briefing about the dos and don’ts involved in gorilla trekking. be assigned the game rangers and head to the jungles in search for the gentle giants. It can take between 50 minutes to the whole day while gorilla trekking in Bwindi . the duration of gorilla trekking is solely dependent on the mobility of the gorilla family you have been assigned to track from. As you hike the jungles, you will be able notice the breaking of trees and groanings. That should be the signs of your nearness to finding the gently giants. Upon meeting the gorillas. You will be allowed to spend a maximum of 1 hour with the gorillas, a time that can only described as interaction and photo taking. Later depart the jungles and reunite with your guide and transfer back to your lodge for lunch and brief relaxation. Later after the relaxation, you will embark on a community walk to discover how the communities around the park go about their life or their way of life.
Day 3: transfer to queen Elizabeth park via ishasha sector.
Wake up to a relaxed breakfast around the confines of Bwindi. Later transfer to queen Elizabeth national park via ishasha sector famous for the tree climbing lions. If you are lucky you may be able to see the tree climbing lions of ishasha. Proceed with your journey to queen Elizabeth national park arriving in the park in the late afternoon. Check in at the lodge have dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 4: Morning game drive and afternoon boat cruiser.
Early in the morning , have breakfast and drive to the park for a morning game drive. As you take the Kasenyi tracks in search for the wildlife be on the look out for elephants, buffaloes, lions, Uganda kobs, water bucks, warthogs, leopards, hippos, hyenas and many more. The game drive can take you for a bout 2 – 4 hours . Later after the game drive, head back to the lodge for lunch and relaxation. Later after lunch head for a boat cruise on the kazinga channel, the Kazinga channel is another rick area of the queen Elizabeth park filled one of the largest schools of hippos, topped with several bird species and wildlife such as elephants and buffaloes that flock the shore of the channel to cool off and have a drink. All can be witnessed during the boat cruise. Depart the cruise and head back to the lodge for an evening relaxation , dinner and an overnight stay at the lodge.
Day 5: Transfer back to Kampala.
In the morning have breakfast, you can opt to do another morning game to increase your wildlife count or simply relax at the lodge to reflect on your previous day activities. Later check out of the lodge and transfer to Kampala and to Entebbe for your flight back home.
