Day 1: Pick up from Kampala and transfer to Kibale forest national park.
You will be picked up from the airport or your lodging in Entebbe/Kampala and taken to the world’s primates capital, Kibale Forest National Park. You will travel through Mubende and stop for lunch in Fort Portal town. You will check into your lodge for rest, dinner, and overnight after lunch.

Day 2: Chimpanzee trekking and afternoon visit to Bigodi swamp.
After breakfast at 7:00 a.m., depart the resort and make your way to the Kanyanchu Visitor Center. The guidelines for tracking chimps will be covered in a 30-minute briefing upon arrival. You will spend an hour walking in the Kibale Forest with a guide, seeing and taking pictures of chimpanzees up close. Other primates, such black and white and red colobus monkeys, might be visible.
Later on the afternoon you will head for a captivating nature walk in Bigodi Wetland, which consists of a lengthy board walk where visitors may look for plants, birds, and primates.

Day 5: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi and village walk around the community.
After eating breakfast and waking up early, you will proceed to the Gorilla Center. Get a briefing on gorilla rules from the guides. For an hour, visitors will be led by knowledgeable rangers through the forest to experience a gorilla encounter. For lunch, head back to the lodge. You can return for dinner at 6:00 p.m. after taking a guided walk through the neighborhood later in the evening.

Day 6: travel to Kalangala’s Lake Victoria-Ssese Islands
Following a busy day of gorilla trekking and wildlife viewing, you will transfer to the Ssese Islands on Lake Victoria for some downtime and adventure. After nearly 7 hours of travel, you will arrive at the Islands late at night and check into the Brovad Sands Lodge for dinner and the night.

Days 7-8: Beach at Ssese Islands
The following two days are yours to relax on the islands. You might choose to unwind on the beach or go swimming in the pool. Day 9: Transfer to Entebbe and Leave the Island
After breakfast, you will bid farewell to the stunning islands and take the MV-Kalangala to Entebbe Town by water, arriving in time for your departure flight at 11:00 AM. As you get ready to say goodbye to Uganda, the pearl of Africa, your driver or guide will take you from the docking area to Entebbe town, where you can have a brief tour or stop by the beach for a snack. As an alternative, while you wait for your departure flight, your driver may take you to the airport.
