The following are the Samburu National Reserve entrance fees.

Not Residents

Adults cost USD 70 each.

Children cost USD 40 each.

CLASSIFIED AS TRAVELERS TO THE SAMBURU NATIONAL RESERVE

Visitors who are inhabitants of Kenya and Kenyan citizens with proper national identification documents or passports fall under this group, along with residents of Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, and Burundi.

Visitors of any other nationality living in Kenya who have valid identification issued by the Kenyan government are considered residents.

Non-Residents are foreigners or visitors from outside Kenya who do not hold Kenyan or East African Community citizenship.

 

HOW TO PAY SAMBURU NATIONAL RESERVE FEES (MODE OF PAYMENT)

The Samburu National Reserve accepts monetary payments only in the form of US dollars or Kenya shillings.

The aforementioned fees are valid for 2022 and must be paid at the main gate, Archer’s Gate.

Visitors who stay at lodging establishments (safari lodges and camps) that are located inside these protected areas are allowed to visit Samburu National Reserve, Buffalo Springs, and Shaba National Park. Sasaab Lodge, Elephant Watch Camp, Samburu Game Lodge, Samburu Intrepids Luxury Tented Camp, Saruni Samburu Lodge, Larsens Camp, Lion King Safari Bush Camp, and Samburu Riverside Tented Camp are some of the safari lodges and camps on this list. All of these lodgings are reachable from Archer’s Gate.

Rate Categories

Residents of Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, and Burundi may use these services at the resident prices. All residents who are tourists or guests must show their national identification cards from their home countries.

Note: Non-resident prices will apply to visitors without current passports.

Child rates – these rates are for visitors who are 3 to 11 years old; children under 3 are admitted free of charge.Student rates – These rates are available to travelers under the age of 23 who are participating in sponsored trips that have been organized by reputable educational institutions and who have valid student IDs. In order to be eligible for the student rates, students must be on a prearranged, school-organized trip for research purposes.
