Lake Mburo National Park

Lake Mburo National Park is the smallest of plain grassland national parks but equally one of most ideal destinations on Uganda safaris. She sits close to 250 km from Kampala city on the main route by road transport to tourism region of western Uganda and number one spot for safaris into Uganda. The park is in the rain shadow of the Rwenzori Mountains and receives low rainfall and her nearness to the equator line; path of the sun makes her receive high temperatures. These are favourite conditions for savannah grassland and woodland that sustain herbivorous mammals and grassland bird species whose spotting is one of the easiest for Uganda tours.
