Amboseli National park fees 2022 – 2024 : Amboseli national park also known as the Land Giants is a magical Kenya Wildlife safari destination lieing north west of Mount Kilimanjaro along the border of Kenya and Tanzania, this scenic park covers an area of 32 square kilometres dominated by acacia woodland, rocky thorny bush, swamps marshland and a Pleistocene lake.
Amboseli national park is famously known for its large concentrations of elephants with impressive tusks and over 80 different species including African buffaloes, impalas, lions, zebras, wildebeests among others. The park is also an important birding Area hosting over 400 bird species including African swamp hen, Common redshank, Dickinson’s kestrel, Eurasian thick-knee, Greater flamingo, Hartlaub’s bustard, Lesser flamingo, Long-toed lapwing, Pangani longclaw, Rufous chatterer, Rufous-bellied heron, Spike-heeled lark, Steel-blue whydah, Taveta golden weaver, Von der Decken’s hornbill, Yellow-necked spurfowl and many more.
Like other protected areas in Kenya, Amboseli national park is under the administration of Kenya Wildlife Services, an organisation responsible for all the activities which takes place in Kenya parks and drafting the park and conservation fees.

Park Entry Fee
Visitors of Amboseli national park are supposed to pay an entrance fee on a daily basis, park entrance fees are valid for 24 hours.

Categories/status of tourists
Visitors to Amboseli national park are categorized as students, children, resident and non – residents, these categorized were based on when drafting Amboseli national park fees and are used when paying the fees. Categories of tourists are as explained below
- Students
Students are visitors on a trip to Amboseli national park organized by a recognized educational institution (primarly, secondary, tertiary and university) for conservation and research purposes. Students are to be in the age blanket of 3 years to 23 years, to be eligible to student fees. The education institution is required to send a letter to Kenya Wildlife Services informing about the trip in a minimum of 2 weeks, this enables KWS to issue an authorization for student rates.
Note;
For students visiting Amboseli national park on a privately arranged safari are not eligible for student fees, they are to pay resident/citizen fees.
- Children
Children are visitors of age range of 3 years but below the age of 18 years
- Citizens
Citizens are visitors with Kenya citizenships and citizens of East Africa community countries including Uganda, Tanzania, south Sudan, Rwanda and Democratic Republic of Congo, Citizen Visitors are required to present valid national IDs and passports of their respective countries.
- Residents
Residents are foreign visitors working and staying in Kenya, these visitors are requested to present valid residence documentation or work permits issued by the government of Kenya.
- Non- residents
Non-residnet visitors are visitors who are foreigners with no residence or work in Kenya
