5 Days congo gorilla and nyiragongo hike tour

This 5 day Congo gorilla excursions starts involves Nyiragongo climbing  of the few active volcanoes in the world and later embark on  a mountain gorilla tracking at Virunga national park Congo which winds up you Congo tour.

Day 1: Transfer to Gisenyi –Lake Kivu.
Early in the morning after breakfast, your guide will pick and drive you to Gisenyi via Ruhengeri .  While in Gisenyi, you may wish to take a boat cruise on Lake Kivu.

Day 2: Climb Mountain Nyiragongo
Early in the morning you will begin climbing Nyiragongo in an impressive trail through the tropical rain forest, via the lava flows the volcanos desert. It will take you 5- 6 hours to reach the top you will have your overnight stay at the crater rims having spectacular view of the lava lake.
Day 3: descend from nyiragongo
Early in the morning, you will descend for Nyiragongo and viewing beautiful sceneries. Later proceed to Goma town checking in at your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 4: Virunga gorilla tracking.
Early in the morning, you will move to Virunga park headquarters and track the gorillas it take you about 1- 5 hours to meet gorillas. While in the park, you will also be able to come across other wildlife like the endangered okapi, antelopes, zebras, giraffes, elephants, hippos and lions. This gives a double opportunity of both gorilla tour experience and wildlife experience. Later head back to your place of accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 5: Transfer to Kigali.
Early in the morning after breakfast. Your drive will you back to Kigali if time allows, you will have a brief tour of Kigali city visiting the genocide memorial site, local hand craft markets  be able to several souvenirs to take home  with you. Or be dropped in the airport in time for your flight.
