5 Days Rwanda gorilla and wildlife safari

This   5 Day Rwanda gorillas and wildlife safari offers bits of the most amazing Rwanda safaris covering volcanoes national park to do gorilla tracking and Ibyiwacu cultural centers later proceeding for yet another interesting part   trip of the safaris into Rwanda to Akagera national park to view the best of the wildlife and several bird species it include the view of lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, hippos at the lake shores, leopards, oribis, topis and the bird species will include the water bird always on the lake shores drinking water.

 Day 1: Arrive to Kigali international airport and transfer to volcanoes national park.
Upon your arrival to Kigali international airport, our company guide will welcome you and brief you about your incomings safaris into Rwanda. Later you will transfer to volcanoes Rwanda national park 2:30 hours’ drive form the Kigali the capital. You will drive through the hilly landscape viewing the beautiful sceneries and winding hills. You will stop at Ruhengeri for and check in at your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Gorilla tracking
Early in the morning, drive to the park headquarters and catch up with the local cultural performances at the park by indigenous Rwandese and grab a cup of coffee as you are being brief about the gorilla tracking exercise. After the briefing, you will move to the starting point to do the tracking. Move into the forest encountering the beautiful flora and fauna and several bird species and small animals like the duikers, soon you will meet the gorillas the whole experience of meeting them is exciting as you will view a huge primate   face to face  and being able to take photos with them. You interaction with the gorillas is limited to 1 hour. Later you will retire to you place of accommodation for dinner and a night stay.

Day 3: Drive to Akagera national park in the north eastern part of Rwanda.

Early in the morning after breakfast, you drive to Akagera national park laces in the north eastern part of Rwanda bordering Tanzania the journey is an exciting one as you will drive past the beautiful hills and sceneries passing the Rwamagana countryside viewing the locals homestead and seeing the local cows on your way.  It takes approximately 2:30 hours to get to Akagera national park, arrive at your accommodation relax, have dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: morning game drive and afternoon boat cruise on lake ihema

embark on an early morning game drive in the park and an afternoon boat trip to Lake Ihema.After an early morning breakfast/coffee. You will take morning game drive to Akagera national park viewing multiple wildlife such as the bush backs, giraffes, zebras, elephants, oribi, loan antelope, leopards and lions among others. The morning game activity can take up to 3-4 hours later you will return to your place of accommodation for lunch and relaxation. Later in the afternoon you will take a boat to trip to Lake Ihema the second largest lake in Rwanda viewing several animals like hippos and Nile crocodiles. You will also be to view herds of buffalos, elephants, antelopes and bird species on the shores drinking water. The entire experience is a thrilling and memorable one .later you will return to your place of accommodation for dinner and a night stay.

Day 5: Return to Kigali and visit Gisozi genocide memorial.
Wake to the sounds of the wild birds in the park environment have a tranquil breakfast. Embark on another to Kigali approximately 2:30 hours’ drive. Arrive at Kigali and visit the genocide memorial at  Gisozi to have a glimpse of what happened in the 1992 Rwanda genocide. Later transfer to Kigali international airport in time for your flight.
