Detailed itinerary of One Week Tanzania Safari Itinerary (7 Days Vacation)

Day 1: Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport

On arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be welcomed by our representative with a big smile. The guide takes you straight to your hotel, where you can relax and take in the African breeze.

If you arrive early, you will have a chance to explore Arusha City or just relax at your lodge while enjoying a cup of coffee. Have dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Lake Manyara National Park

After breakfast, you will checkout of your lodge and embark a journey to Lake Manyara National Park, this beautiful park lies between Tarangire National Park and Ngorongoro Crater, right along the 400 meters deep Great Rift Valley.

The park boasts a variety of landscapes that attract many animals, for example alkaline – Lake Manyara which is home to pink flamingoes, a dense rainforest with hundreds of monkeys and birds and woodlands where you will see elephants and also the renowned Manyara Hippo Pool with many hippos bathing from early morning to late evening.

After the game drive with picnic lunch, you will head to your lodge for check-in, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3 – 4: Serengeti National Park (central west/east)

 Spend these two days exploring the endless plains of Serengeti with picnic lunch.

Serengeti National Park is widely known as the best place to go on safari in Africa, mainly because of the Great Migration that pass through the endless plains. The enormous, stampeding herds are impressive, as are the vast amount of predators that live here, over four thousand lions, thousands of wild dogs, hyenas and wild dogs.

During the game drives in the endless plains of Serengeti, your guide will be delighted to search for these amazing creatures together with you.

Day 5 – 6: Ngorongoro Conservation Area  

After breakfast, you will head to Ngorongoro Conservation Area for a full day crater game drive. Ngorongoro Crater is one of Africa’s seven natural wonders, the crater was formed two millions ago when a vast volcano erupted. The fertile lava has created a unique ecosystem which is now home to the highest concentration of animals found anywhere in Africa.

While in the crater, you will enjoy astounding sighting of several animals including zebras, lions, buffaloes, black rhinos, cheetahs and huge numbers of flamingoes on the shores of Lake Magadi – alkaline lake in the corner of the crater.

Day 7: The last day and your flight home from Kilimanjaro Int. Airport

Depending on your flight time, you can have a leisurely breakfast, check out of the lodge and embark on a journey back to Arusha  where you will be dropped off at Kilimanjaro International Airport for your flight home or to your next destination.
