Detailed itinerary of 19 Days Uganda, Rwanda & Tanzania Safari
Day 1: Arrival and Pick up at Entebbe International Airport
On arrival Entebbe International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your personal driver guide and be transferred to your hotel in Entebbe for overnight stay and dinner.

Day 2: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park
Have early breakfast, meet your guide and embark on a journey to Murchison Falls National Park, the second popular wildlife park and the largest conservation area in Uganda. Along the way you will have regular stops including a visit at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, home to white rhinos and the only place where you can trek the rhinos on foot with a ranger guide and in Masindi for lunch.
When you arrive in the park, you will head to the top of Murchison Falls for scenic views of the Nile as it squeezes through the narrow gorge to form the world’s most powerful falls. Head to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Morning Game Drive and Boat Cruise in Murchison Falls National Park
Spend a full day in Murchison Falls National Park on game drive and Boat Cruise in River Nile.
Wake up early and head to the park for a morning game drive with a range, explore the savannah plains and enjoy spotting various animals including herds of elephants, buffaloes, Uganda Kobs, lions, giraffes, hyena, topi among others. Return to the lodge for a full breakfast, have short rest and lunch. In the afternoon you will head to Paara for a 3 hours’ boat cruise on River Nile, the world’s longest river and boasts high concentration of hippos, Nile Crocodiles and a variety of water birds such as giant kingfishers, fish eagles among others. Later hike to the top of the falls to meet up with your driver-guide and drive back to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park
Have early breakfast, checkout of your lodge and embark on a journey to Kibale Forest National Par – the world’s Primate Capital, the park is a popular chimpanzee trekking destination and home to 13 species of primates including chimpanzees, black and white colobus monkeys among others.
Along the way you will have a stopover in Fort Portal for a visit to the Palace of Tooro Kingdom led by the youngest King in the world. Enjoy scenic views of Rwenzori Ranges as you head to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5: Chimpanzee Trekking & Bigodi Swamp Walk
Have early breakfast, meet your personal guide and head to Kibale Forest National Park for chimpanzee trekking, join other trekkers for briefing about the dos and don’ts when in the forests of Kibale. The trek takes approximately 3 to 4 hours depending on the movement of the chimpanzees and where they spent their previous night, lookout for other primates including red tailed monkey, L’Hoest monkey, baboons, white and black Colobus monkeys, grey checked mangabey, red Colobus, blue monkeys and pottos among others. When locate the chimpanzees you are allowed to spend one hour in their presence watching them play from one tree branch to another and take amazing pictures.
After lunch you will embark on a nature walk in Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, an eco-tourism destination managed by the local people. Their conservation story while on the nature walk to spot birds, primates gives you an opportunity to see how people live in harmony with nature. You may also visit the local homesteads before you return for dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
After breakfast you will be transferred to Queen Elizabeth National Park arriving in time for check-in and lunch at the lodge, arrive in time for lunch at your lodge and in the afternoon go for a game drive exploring the plains of the park. Lookout for herds of elephants, buffaloes, Uganda kobs among others. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 7: Full Day in Queen Elizabeth National Park
Spend a full day in Queen Elizabeth National Park on morning game drive and afternoon boat cruise on Kazinga Channel. Have early breakfast and head to the Kasenyi Plains for a morning game drive, expect to see a variety of wildlife including lions, leopards, buffaloes, Uganda Kobs, among others.
Return to the lodge for lunch, in the afternoon you will head to Kazinga Channel for a boat cruise. The channel connects Lake George to Lake Edward and is home to a huge concentration of hippos as well as Nile Crocodiles you will see during the cruise. Also, lookout for elephants and buffaloes along the banks of the shore drinking water and several water birds. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 8: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park
After breakfast you will be transferred to Bwindi Forest National Park via the Ishasha Sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park where you will get to see tree climbing lion if you are lucky.
Have lunch along the way and when you are in the park, check in at your lodge and spend the rest of the day at relaxation preparing for the next day’s adventure- gorilla trekking experience.
Overnight at Bweza Gorilla Lodge
Day 9: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Forest (First Trek)
Wake up early for breakfast, meet your guide and head to the park headquarters with your packed lunch box for briefing. A senior ranger guide will take you through rules and regulations to follow, be divided into groups of 8 people and be assigned a gorilla family to trek.
Head to the starting point and head into the forests of Bwindi looking for mountain gorillas, the trek takes approximately 2 to 6 hours depending on the movement of the gorillas and where they spent their previous night. You are allowed to spend one hour with the gorillas watching them grooming each other, play from one tree to another and picking fruits under a watchful gaze of a silverback. You are free to take as many photos as possible, trek back to the starting point, meet your guide and head back to your lodge.
Later in the day you will head to the Batwa Community for a cultural experience, you will be entertained by local dances and drama, interact with the elders and taste some of the local dishes. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Overnight at Bweza Gorilla Lodge
Day 10: Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi and Boat Excursion
Have a laze breakfast, meet your guide and drive to Lake Bunyonyi, the second deepest lake in Africa and the deepest in Uganda, this beautiful lake is dotted with 19 Islands which are home to several little birds and otters. On arrival you will check-in, relax in your room as you wait for your lunch. Later go for a boat cruise exploring the various islands on the islands.

Day 11: Transfer to Volcanoes National Park and Iby’Iwacu Cultural Village
After breakfast, you will be transferred to Volcanoes National Park in Rwanda with border crossing at Kyanika border arriving in time for lunch. Later in the evening you will go for a visit to Iby’iwcu village to learn Rwandan culture, customs and traditions. This tour ends with traditional dance performances.

Day 12: Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes National Park (Second Trek)
Wake up early for breakfast and be transferred to the Park Headquarters for briefing about gorilla trekking, be assigned a gorilla group to trek in groups of 8 and head into the forest looking for the gorillas. The trek normally takes 2 to 6 hours basing on the movement of the gorilla and where they spent their previous night, spend 1 hour with them observing them go on with their life in the forest, groom each other among others.
After an amazing experience, return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 13: Transfer to Kigali and fly to Kilimanjaro International Airport
After breakfast, you will transfer to Kigali City. After lunch you will be dropped off at Kigali International Airport to catch your flight to Kilimanjaro International Airport. On arrival our guide will be waiting for you and transfer you to your hotel in Arusha.

Day 14: Transfer to Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, you will meet your guide and transfer to Tarangire National Park which is a drive of 2 hours away. When you arrive in the park, you will be welcomed by the iconic baobab trees and large herds of elephants.
Have picnic lunch and go for an afternoon game drive, Tarangire National Park is popular over 3000 elephants in Tanzania and various animals best seen along the banks of Tarangire River, the only source of water in the park and the region.

Day 15: Transfer to Central Serengeti National Park and Afternoon Game Drive
After breakfast, depart Tarangire National Park for Serengeti National Park, the most popular national park in Tanzania as well as Africa at large. The Serengeti is renowned for its large concentrations of wildlife including the Big Five and the Great Wildebeest Migration.
You will drive through Ngorongoro Conservation, you will have picnic lunch and embark on an afternoon game drive exploring the endless plains of Serengeti and watching several animals including lions, leopards, and cape buffaloes among others. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 16 – 17: Full Day in Serengeti Plains
Spend these two days exploring the endless plains of Serengeti on full day game drives.
The Serengeti is home to 3 million animals which is larger than any savannah protected area, Serengeti and the surrounding system is home to a rich, diverse collection of wildlife which tourists from the world come to see on a safari. Some of the animals to lookout for include the famous Big Five (Lion, Elephant, Rhino, Leopard and Buffaloes), cheetahs, giraffes, hippos, zebras, and several bird species.

Day 18: Transfer to Ngorongoro Conservation Area and Ngorongoro Crater Game Drive
After breakfast, you will transfer to Ngorongoro Conservation Area, descend into Ngorongoro Crater for a game drive. Ngorongoro Crater is the largest intact caldera in the world and is often referred to as Garden of Eden on earth, during the game drive you will see various animals including hippos, zebras, wildebeests, leopards, cheetahs and lots of hyenas among others.
After this amazing experience, return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Overnight at Hhando Coffee Lodge
Day 19: Departure
Depending on your flight schedule, you will enjoy breakfast and be transferred to Arusha Town and later be dropped off at Kilimanjaro International Airport for your return flight back home.
