On the bush side of this Tanzania Private Tour, you will have traditional game viewing adventures in two of the most iconic wildlife safari destinations in Tanzania – Serengeti National Park and Ngorongoro Crater. These two parks are home to abundant wildlife including lions, leopards, cape buffaloes, elephants, rhinos, gazelles, elands, giraffes, cheetahs among others.
Later fly to the beautiful beaches of Zanzibar with miles of white sand and clear waters which make the island idyllic destination for several water activities including snorkeling, diving, kitesurfing among others.

Detailed itinerary of 8 Days Tanzania Safari and Zanzibar Holiday (Private Tour)
Day 1: Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport
On arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your safari guide who will drive you to your hotel in Arusha for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Ngorongoro Crater
After an early breakfast, you will leave for Ngorongoro Crater, the largest intact, unfilled caldera and home to the largest concentration of wildlife in the world. After registration at the Lodure Main Gate, we descend into the Crater and spend the whole day on game drives at the crater floor with picnic lunch at the hippo poolside picnic site.
Ngorongoro Crater is a famous Tanzania Safari Destination known for an amazing concentration of wildlife including the Big Five – lions, leopards, cape buffaloes, elephants and rhinos. Later in the afternoon before dark, descend up the Crater rim, check in at your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Transfer to Serengeti National Park
After breakfast at your lodge, you will check out and embark on a journey to Serengeti National Park with transit through Ngorongoro, today you have an option to visit a Masai Village or the archaeological site of Olduvai Gorge where Doctor Leakey made discoveries of ancient fossils of Man that led to the Evolution Theory.
Enter Serengeti National Park via Naabi Gate by Mid-day, have picnic lunch then go ahead with game drive in Serengeti plains until sunset. Head to your lodge for check-in, dinner and overnight.

Day 4&5: Full Day in Serengeti National Park
Spend a whole exploring the endless plains of Serengeti National Park on full day game drive with picnic lunch. At sunrise, you may encounter animals grazing in the beautiful light of sunrise and predators may still be busy hunting before retiring to rest for the day.
Sunrise on the Serengeti is not to be missed and offers extraordinary photographic opportunities, during the game drives you will have a chance to spot several wildlife species including zebras, giraffes, lions, leopards, gazelles, cheetahs, wildebeests, gazelles among others.
On these two days in Serengeti, you can do hot balloon safari – soar above the endless plains of Serengeti and enjoy aerial view of the park and the animals. Also visit the Maasai people where you will be entertained by local dances and drama and also get a deeper insight into their customs and cultures.

Day 6: Serengeti – Zanzibar Island
After breakfast at your lodge, you will checkout of your lodge and embark on a journey back to Arusha where you will catch a domestic flight from Arusha Airstrip to Zanzibar Airport. Upon arrival in Zanzibar, you will be welcomed by our guide/driver and transfer to your hotel.

Day 7: Zanzibar Beach (Swimming with Dolphins and Visit Jozani Park)
After breakfast, you will head to the South Coast for a dolphin tour in Kizimkazi where you will be able to have a swim with hundreds of spinner and bottle – nose dolphins playing off Kizimkazi Beach and also get to experience the scenic views of the Indian Ocean.
Later you will head to Jozani Forest for a nature walk in a beautiful forest which is dominated by mangrove spotting the red colobus monkeys and various fish species living underneath. Return to your lodge for lunch, then spend the rest of the day relaxing by the shores of beach where you can encounter the local people.
Return to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 8: Spice Tour and Departure
Enjoy breakfast, meet your guide and head for a spice and botanical tour in one of the huge spice plantations, during this tour you will be able to see and taste the tropical fruits, various species of species and get to learn about their various health functions.
You will also visit the Kidichi Bath built in 1850 by the first sultan for his wife Scheharzad – granddaughter of Fetch Ali Shah of Persia. In the afternoon you will have lunch and then be transferred to the airport or to the harbor for your departure flight back home.
