Detailed itinerary of 6 Days Luxury Zanzibar Beach Holiday

Day 1: Arrival in Zanzibar

On arrival at Zanzibar International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our representative – your driver guide and transfer you to your beach resort where you will spend five nights on the beach and enjoy several excursions in and around Zanzibar.

Check in at your beach hotel/resort and spend the rest of the day at rest or take a walk on this white sand beaches.

Overnight stay at The Mora Zanzibar

Day 2: Excursions in Zanzibar

Zanzibar is famously known as The Spice Island thanks to the spices grown all around the island and your Zanzibar Holiday will not be complete without a visit the Spice Plantations. The Sultan of Oman first introduced these kinds of plantations on the island in 1873, during the spice tour you will be overwhelmed by the abundance of botanical species growing in these gardens, exotic spices, fruits and vegetables.

You will have a chance to taste some of the spices including cinnamon, cardamom, black peppers, turmeric, vanillas and Nutmeg among others. You can also buy some and take home.

You will return to your beach hotel for lunch and spend the rest of the day at relaxation.

Dinner and overnight: The Mora Zanzibar 

Day 3: Excursions in Zanzibar

After breakfast, you will meet your guide and head to the coral limestone coast of Mangapwani where you will have a chance to descend to the dark slave chambers and the slave cave. The chambers have been used to hide slaves brought from the African mainland waiting to be shipped to Arabia or the French oversea colonies.

Stone Town is one of the few intact historical Swahili Coastal trading towns of East Africa, it was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2000.

The Stone Town Tour includes visit to the Center Market, the former slave market with the Anglican Cathedral, Tippu – Tip House, the House of Wonders, the Old Fort, the Palace Museum, former residence of the Sultan and Princess Salme and the Maruhubi Palace Ruins.

Have lunch at your beach hotel and relax at the beach.

Day 4: Excursions in Zanzibar

After breakfast, you will head to Jozani Forest for a visit and guided walk. Jozani Forest is part of the Jozani Chwaka Bay National Park – a tropical natural reserve forming an important ecosystem, the dense ground water forest is home to the red colobus monkey, a very rare species only found in Zanzibar, the blue sykes monkey, elephant shrews and bush babies which you will see. This tour includes also a walk through the Mangrove forest.

Day 5: Safari Blue and Swimming with Dolphins

 Wake up early for breakfast and head out for a Safari Blue Trip along the Menai Bay, which is one of the best coral reefs in Zanzibar. On this tour you will do several activities including visit to naturally occurring sandbanks. Swimming and snorkeling in the crystal clear waters, visiting Kwale Island with its natural green lagoon and climbing the old Baobab tree for spectacular view of the island.

If you love the sea, you will have a snorkeling excursion and you will witness countless colorful fish and other sea creatures that survive among the coral reefs and underwater plants which together form the barrier reef ecosystem in the bay.

During the your you will enjoy the fresh seafood barbeque, Octopus, Lobsters, squids, Calamaris, Fishes. Exotic fresh fruit tasting like Banana, Watermelon, Pineapple, Mangoes among others.

Day 6: Zanzibar-back Home
