Detailed Itinerary of 5 Days Lake Manyara Serengeti Tarangire Wildlife Safari

Day 1 – Arusha to Lake Manyara

Your guide will pick you up from your hotel in Arusha and depart for Lake Manyara National Park with a picnic lunch for a full game drive.

Lake Manyara National Park is an amazing Tanzania wildlife safari destination renowned for the rare tree climbing lions normally seen lounging on tree branches and millions of pink flamingoes on the shores of Lake Manyara which covers three thirds of the park.

As you enter the park, lush forests of acacia and Mahogany trees begin to set the mood for what is waiting head. You will have a game drive for the rest of the day with picnic lunch, expect to see various animals including buffaloes, giraffes, impalas, baboons and blue monkeys. Head to your lodge for check-in, dinner and overnight.

Day 2 – Lake Manyara to Central Serengeti

After breakfast, checkout and head towards to Serengeti National Park via the beautiful high lying farmland of Karatu and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Leaving behind the highlands, descend into Ngorongoro Crater the heart of wild Africa on your way to Serengeti National Park head to the central park area – Seronera Area.

Seronera Area is one of the richest wildlife habitats in the park, the area features the Seronera River which provides a valuable water source to this area and therefore attracts wildlife which well represents wildlife in Serengeti.

Arrive in the park in time for lunch, check in at your lodge. After enjoying your meals you will go for an afternoon game drive exploring the endless plains of Serengeti and enjoy big game sightings. After sunset you will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3 – Central Serengeti to Ngorongoro

After breakfast, you will have a full day game drive in the endless plains of Serengeti National Park. Game viewing is one of the most popular way of seeing and viewing in Serengeti, lookout for abundant wildlife including lions, leopards, cheetahs, lions, elands, giraffes, zebras, gazelles and several birdlife.

You will have picnic lunch and continue exploring the endless plains of Serengeti as you depart for Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

Ngorongoro Conservation Area is the largest intact Caldera in the world and a fourteen kilometers of isolated nature beauty, the Crater is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the 8 wonders of the world. Ngorongoro Crater is surrounded by a ring of extinct volcanoes and the crater floor is dotted with water holes and hosts over 30,000 animals. Head to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 4 – Ngorongoro Crater Tour to Tarangire

Have early breakfast, descend to the crater floor for a game drive. Expect to see lions, elephants, zebras, hippos, pink flamingoes on the shores of Lake Magadi – a crater lake and several bird species including stork, bats, giant vulture, sacred ibis, kori bustard, blacksmith plover, long necked heron and the cattle eagle.

After the amazing game drive, you will begin a steep ascend to the top of the crater an exit. Embark on a 2 hours’ drive to Tarangire National Park. Check-in at your lodge for a delicious dinner and overnight.

Day 5 – Tarangire to Arusha

Today is your final day of your 5 Days Lake Manyara Serengeti Tarangire Wildlife Safari, begin your day with a delicious breakfast, check out of your lodge with packed lunch and go for a morning game drive in Tarangire National Park.

Tarangire National Park is a famous Tanzania Safari known for its majestic baobab trees that dot the landscape, dwarfing the animals that feed beneath them and large herds elephants. The park is named from Tarangire River which is the centerpiece of the park as it is the main source of water, the river attracts a lot of animals which come to drink water and also cool off.

Some of the animals to lookout for include lions, leopards, lesser kudus, buffaloes, elands, giraffes, herds of elephants and zebras among others.

Leave the park and embark on a journey back to Arusha, your driver-guide will drop you off either at your hotel or at the airport for your flight back home.
