Detailed itinerary of 10 Days Combined Gorilla Trekking and Etosha National Park
Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi Forest
Start your African Adventure with pick up from Entebbe International Airport upon arrival or from your hotel in Kampala after breakfast by our safari-driver guide, embark on a journey to Bwindi Forest National Park in Southwestern Uganda. The journey will offer you amazing sights of the rural and semi-urban Uganda, have a stopover at Uganda’s Equator Monument where you will stand in both Southern and Northern Hemispheres.
Have another stop in Mbarara for lunch and continue to Bwindi Forest National Park arriving in the evening, check in at your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Alternatively, you can take a morning flight to Bwindi Forest National Park.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Forest
Gorilla trekking in Bwindi Forest starts early morning with pick up from your lodge early after breakfast and transfer you to the briefing point at 7 am before you start your trek at 8 am. Your guide will take you through rules and regulations to follow while in the presence of the gorillas and the right way to conduct yourself while in the forest, you will be allocated a gorilla family to trek, enter into the forests of Bwindi looking for mountain gorillas. The trek takes approximately 2 to 6 hours depending on the movement of the gorillas and where they spent their previous night, when you locate them that is with the help of a ranger guide. You are allowed to spend one hour in their presence taking pictures and witnessing how they spend their life in the forest.
After one hour, you will trek back to the park headquarters, meet your guide and head to the Batwa Village for a cultural encounter. Here you will be entertained by local dances and drama, learn more about their amazing culture and traditions among others. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Transfer back to Kampala
After breakfast, you will check out of the lodge and embark on a journey back to Kampala with en-route lunch in Mbarara, arrive in Kampala in the evening, check in at your hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Fly to Windhoek
After breakfast, your guide will drive you to Entebbe International Airport for your flight to Windhoek International Airport, Namibia. Upon landing you will be welcomed by our driver – guide and transfer you to your hotel in Windhoek.
Spend the rest of the day at rest, alternatively you can have a city tour in Windhoek visiting some of the city’s amazing attractions such as Christuskirche, The Independence Memorial Museum, Alte Feste (Former National Museum of Namibia) among others.

Day 5: Windhoek to Etosha National Park
Early in the morning you will be picked up at 09 am and depart to the northern part of Namibia, along the way you will have a stop in Okahandja at the Craft Center and continue the journey with another stop in Otjiwarongo where you will have lunch and do some shopping. Proceed to the park arriving in the afternoon, go for a game drive exploring the plains of Etosha National Park till sunset.

Day 6: Etosha National Park
Have early breakfast then go for a full day game drive in Etosha Natonal Park, you will return to the lodge for lunch or have picnic lunch inside the park. Full day game drives in Etosha National Park commence at sunrise, depending on the gate opening times which vary during seasonal changes and return from 15h00 depending on wildlife sightings.
Some of the animals to lookout for during the game drive include blue wildebeests, greater kudu, steenbok, springbok, red hartebeest, Gemsbok, cheetahs, hyenas, rhino, giraffes, elephants, leopard, lion among others.

Day 7: Etosha to Swakopmund
After breakfast you will depart for Swakopmud early morning, it is a drive of about 3 hours’ drive to Swakopmund and once you have arrived, you will have lunch and afterward go for some amazing activities including Quadbiking and Sandboarding which last for about 2 hours.
After these mind blowing experiences, return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 8: Swakopmund to Sossusvlei
You will depart in the morning from Swakopmud and depart to the Sossusvlei area, along the journey you will pass by Walvisbay where you will visit the pink lagoon to see Flamingoes and have lunch.
On arrival, you will check-in at your lodge and then go on a Sundowner drive to Elim dune around 17h 30 or 18h00.

Day 9: Sossuvlei
Wake up at 05h30 and head to Dune 45 where you will have breakfast and at sunrise, enjoy the show of colors over the dunes. After the sunrise will continue with the Sossuvlei Excursion which includes Deadvlei, Hiddenvlei and Big Daddy. You will have several stops to let you take pictures and have some exposure to the Dunes.
You will have sometime at the pool while your tour guide prepares lunch for you. Continue exploring the dunes till sunset, return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 10: Departure
Wake up early, have breakfast then depart back to Windhoek with your packed lunch. Your guide will drop you off either at your booked hotel or at the airport for your flight back home.
